Investment Evaluation
David’s first major consultancy assignment over 15 years ago was the creation and implementation of new corporate investment evaluation procedures for a major media organisation. Implementation involved organising and running a series of seminars and briefings, the creation of an investment evaluation team and regular presentations to the board of directors on all significant new corporate investment proposals.
The implementation involved a significant challenge to the prevailing culture but it resulted in a more disciplined and consistent approach and to the early rejection of ill-founded and poorly evaluated schemes. The procedures and process endure to this day.
